Float line (former Israel Jordan border), archival pigment print

This work consists of two elements: one (to the right) is the fraction of actual towed buoys that used to mark the physical border between Israel and Jordan for a decade; the other (to the left) is a fragment of the Israel-Jordan peace treaty (in English, Hebrew and Arabic) and it says: ““This line is the administrative boundary between Jordan and the territory which came under Israeli Military government control in 1967. Any treatment of this line shall be without prejudice to the status of that territory”. Such a treaty strives to define a clear-cut line of
separation amid the arbitrariness of nature, as the collision of two tectonic plates frequently alters the course of the Jordan River.
